Angel & Venture Capital Financing
The Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership regularly connects new business innovators and entrepreneurs with regional private investment firms. Most of these firms focus on advanced technology and bio/medical research & development. Our office will be hosting a series of entrepreneur breakfasts that highlight emerging entrepreneurs of the region with a roundtable discussion that includes investors, area university leaders, business leaders and city officials.
Permitting
The Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership maintains strong political ties with elected officials on a city, county, state and national level. Through these relationships, our office is able to help minimize barriers to ease the transition for companies expanding or relocating to the region. Our office has achieved a high level of success with fast tracking permit applications for water, industrial waste, air, zoning, noise, and other typical business development issues.
Promotion Services
Clients can utilize the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership's public relations department to promote the company’s business and relocation. Potential services include development of press releases, recognition at one of the partnership's quarterly membership meetings and a guest column in Bay Area Houston newspapers. Furthermore, the partnership can introduce the company's executives to business and civic leaders within the community.
Relocation Assistance
Relocation assistance is provided by Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership. Services can include providing employees with relocation packages, briefings in Bay Area Houston or at their current location of employment. This program can assist a company relocating employees by providing relocation information and work in collaboration with similar companies in the Bay Area Houston region by providing tours and guides to the area.
Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program (SATOP)
The Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program offers businesses the opportunity to team up with engineers, scientists and technicians in the aerospace industry. The program, a partnership among NASA, the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, local universities, aerospace contractors and other organizations, pairs business owners with a team of scientists and engineers.
Small businesses with technical problems can receive up to 40 hours of free technical assistance through TOP. A one-page request form for technical assistance is required, which defines the problem, outlines steps taken to reach a solution, and defines the desired outcome.
