Anadarko honored by Department of Agriculture

Anadarko Industries LLC, a member of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, was named by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Office of Procurement and Property Management as its small disadvantaged business contractor of the year.

Tom Short, Anadarko’s president and chief executive officer, will attend a ceremony on June 20 in Washington D.C. Anadarko has two contracts with the agency, providing:

  • Large office, end-user information technology support to the USDA and,
  • Support services to the federal agency’s Forest Service.
Located in Bay Area Houston, Anadarko was listed as the 10th largest contractor at the NASA Johnson Space Center in 2007 by the Houston Business Journal.

Anadarko Industries LLC is a Native American-, Tribal-owned, 8(a) certified, small disadvantaged business. The Wichita and Affiliated Tribes are developing AI as the cornerstone of an economic development plan. This plan will provide college educations for tribal members and rebuild the economic foundations of the communities.
